To reach the right audience for Grans new range of Hard Seltzers, we ensured the pack shouted out loud what it is. We paired this strong voice with a fun, quirky and intriguing universe that allows for many product extensions moving forward.
Our idea of the flowing, liquid, blob like creatures, representing the drink itself, enables us to inject something emotional in to the design, allowing us to connect with a more youthful audience in spite of Norways very strict alcohol promotion laws, which outright ban any kind of promos for alcohol. Due to this, all communication regarding the product needed to on the packaging itself.
Our consumer insights indicated that a younger Norwegian audience now desire more positive, uncomplicated experiences in their lives. To connect with this need we created a bright, youthful and fun expression that reflects the taste of the drink whilst not straying too far from the design language and signifiers of Hard Seltzer products.
